Challenging Negative Thoughts

"Negative Thoughts suddenly come up when you least expect it." kurt Dunca.
"Sometimes we have to tell the critic inside us to shut up!" Les Brown.
One of the basis of Empower Your Pattern to build your signifficance and success is challenging negative thoughts.  And one of the elementary principles I use to challenge negative thoughts is what I call The CAP Method.  I will explain this thuroughly.
1.  Choices:  We cannot choose how adversity and negative thoughts come, but we do have control on how we preactively and proactively choose.  One of the things I do when I write down and chalenge my negative thoughts with logical reasoning, I also look at choices I can make to get those thoughts back to the positive.  The belief and freewill of choice is a key principle to challenging negative thoughts.
ACT:  One of the best ways to challenge negative thoughts is to design proactive action.    President John F Kennedy said, "Great is the cost of action, but even greater is the cost and price of inaction."  After you have made some clear preactive proactive informed choices, it's tie to hae some preactive proactive action.  Because a positive plan of action often leads to positive thoughts.
Pursue Happiness:  One of the ways we challenge negative thoughts is making a positive preactive proactive pursuit of happiness.  But that pursuit of happiness is not a reactive mad dash.  The theologian Jeffrey R Holland said, "Happiness is like a butterfly.  If you chase it, it will elude you.  But if you are still, it will come and rest on your shoulders."  A perfect way to manage negative thoughts.
I developed the CAP Method in September 2018 when I started podcasting, and I do my best to live it out every day. No doubt, this method has been fine tuned, but such is the nature of life and the journey to signifficance and success when it involves challenging negative thoughts.
